What are the values of society that imprison people for it?

What are the values of society that imprison people for it?

Show me my right and take it. It is the proverb of my people, which strikes at those who abuse people’s honor, their money, and their livelihood and seize it unjustly. And he is not satisfied with that, but rather claims his right to seize what he has seized and claims that it represents truth, justice, and the law, so the oppressed says to him: Show me my right and take it. That is, your power has enabled you to usurp my right, so do not at least deprive me of my right to say that he is mine and that it was usurped from me; do not deprive me of my right to say that you are an unjust and usurper even if I wear the garments of justice and virtue.

Hardly a day goes by in our country without us hearing about the arrest of an actor, blogger, content creator, or others at the hands of law and justice. Most of the arrest cases are carried out without crime or charge, and after the arrest, force majeure announces that it implements the instructions of the public prosecutor, it cleans society from the impurities of immorality and moral corruption, and it accuses those who are arrested of publishing content that contradicts the values of Libyan society!

I am a Libyan who lives on this land and socializes with these people—the Libyans—and I want to know the values of society so that I will never violate them and find myself in a prison of force.

The force claims every time that it implements the instructions of the public prosecutor, and as a Libyan citizen, the public prosecutor is supposed to protect my rights. I ask him to go out in a press conference to show us the limits of society's values, and to show us what are the black areas that are considered a crime to cross, as well as the gray areas that must be overcome with caution, and the white areas in which we move freely within the scope of society's values.

I also ask him to specify for us the legal and legitimate basis on which the values of society were determined, who defined them, who was entrusted with the responsibility of determining them, and who has the right to do so.

The justification of arresting people and restricting their freedoms with a wide term such as "violating the values of society" is nothing but a trick intended to convince the rest of the people that these actions are to protect their values and defend their morals and honor from those who wish to corrupt their sons and daughters. The force here represents you and protects the values of your society, so stand with it and support it in its holy war against corruption and spoilers.

More than seven million people live in this country; their regions, origins, sects, traditions, and colors differ, and therefore their intellectual and social references and their behavioral and moral values differ. What is defective in your traditions may not be the same in the traditions of others, and what you see as normal behavior does not require consideration. Others may see it as a crime that requires punishment, so what measure do we use when we define the values of society?

Isn't it considered unfair to prosecute someone who did something that his environment deems to be normal, according to the standard of someone who deems it defective? Didn't each of us go through an embarrassing situation after saying an ordinary word in his dialect, only to discover that it was defective in someone else's dialect? Who has the right to determine the defect?

Sharia is the one who has the right to define the forbidden, and the law has the right to define the crime, so who defines the defect?

The possession of a certain party the right to impose its values on society is a dangerous matter and a prelude to a future dictatorship that may be more dangerous than the previous one. and your support today for the arrest without legal basis against some of those who do not like the content they provide, It will deprive you of your right to defend yourself if you ever fall into the circle of what the detaining force considers contrary to the values of society, and let us be frank with ourselves: we do not know the limits of that, and what the force expresses as contrary to the values of society changes with the change of time, place, and people.

It is your right not to agree with what we write, or with what we say or present, and it is your right to object to that, and it is also your right to classify us and count us among your enemies and opponents, but it is neither your right nor the right of anyone else to confiscate our right to say, write, or We only present a legal basis, and here we say, "Show me my right and take it." Show me the legal basis that justifies the confiscation of my rights, and then confiscate them.

We all know the story of the white bull that was sacrificed by its two companions, the black bull and the red bull. They thought that by doing so they would protect themselves from the lion, and when the lion was hungry, he ate them as well, so that he would know the last of them, the red bull. He was eaten the day he allowed the lion to devour his fellow. And that his fate was sealed on the day he did not stand up to defend the white bull, not out of love for him but to protect himself from the lion’s encroachment, and the lion’s encroachment is inevitably coming.

Your defense today of those with whom you do not agree in ideas and principles from the encroachment of power is in fact a protection for yourself from the encroachment of power, and if you do not commit today what provokes this encroachment, you may commit it tomorrow, and you will not find anyone who stands with you. Remember that you are not immune from violating the values of society, you and I, We do not know it specifically, and we are not the one who defines it, and whoever defines it may expand or narrow it, and include us tomorrow in what we thought today that we are immune from. And only then will we realize that our only means of protection from the encroachment of power is that the power does not have the right and the ability to encroach in the first place and that our support today - even with a word - for those arrested without a legal basis, is our only recourse so that we do not find ourselves in that position, and remember the day you were arrested by the hands of Virtue guards That you ate at the day where the white bull ate.
